Pride South Side Studio’s Vicki Street sat down with Chicago rapper, Kidd Kenn, (who’s also apart of the LGBTQIA community) to discuss social media and politics. Recently, protest around the country have turned chaotic as riots and looting began in the wake of the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbry, and Breonna Taylor. Chicago was one of the cities hit the hardest. From the Waukegan to the south suburbs, major brand stores were hit, and unfortunately, many family-owned and minority-owned businesses. Kidd Kenn gives his take on the situation; he also shares his opinion and experience on the current trend of call-out culture amongst artists and celebrities.
